How to Brew Perfect Pour-Over Coffee with the OREA V4 (Fast Base)

Coffee Recipe for OREA V4 (Fast Base)

The OREA V4 with Fast Base is designed for speed, clarity, and balance. This recipe highlights its ability to brew efficiently while preserving sweetness and complexity in your cup.

Recipe Details

  • Coffee: 21g (medium grind, 350–450 microns)

  • Water: 345g (filtered, at 93°C)

  • Brew Time: ~2:50 minutes

  • Filter: OREA Sibarist

Brewing Steps

1. Bloom (Start → 0:45)

  • Pour 60g of water to fully wet the grounds.

  • Allow 30–45 seconds for blooming, letting the coffee degas.

2. First Pour (0:45 → 1:05)

  • Add 80g of water (for a total of 140g).

  • Pour in a controlled spiral, covering the bed evenly.

3. Second Pour (1:20 → 1:55)

  • Add 125g of water (for a total of 265g).

  • Keep the flow steady to maintain extraction balance.

4. Final Pour (2:10 → 2:50)

  • Add the last 80g of water (for a total of 345g).

  • Allow the drawdown to complete naturally.

👉 Brewing should finish around 2:50 minutes.

Tips for Best Results

  • The Fast Base design pairs well with slightly finer grinds compared to other OREA models.

  • Aim for a flat coffee bed at the end for even extraction.

  • Adjust grind if brew ends too quickly (go finer) or too slowly (go coarser).
