Product Description

We want to share these tips and recommendations to ensure that your wood brewer stays in great condition. This April Brewer is designed to showcase the value of craftsmanship and is not made for heavy daily use. Naturally, you can brew a great cup of coffee with it, but the aftercare differs from the other April Brewers.

  • We recommend doing three “seasoning” brews. You can use any coffee; we recommend a 20g / 300g brew ratio.
  • Before you enjoy your brewed cup of coffee, carefully dry the brewer with a towel.
  • We strongly recommend against letting the brewer stand wet for a longer period and against putting it in the dishwasher.
  • The wood is “alive” and will expand and contract as it gets wet and dry. If seasoned and adequately maintained, it should return to its original shape. However, if exposed to more extended periods in a damp condition, it will not, and it might cause the wood to reshape.
  • If you use this brewer daily for multiple brews and don’t take care of it, you will eventually see apparent wear and tear that will alter and disform the brewer.
  • When you take out the brewer from the box the first time, you will be able to smell the material. We recommend leaving it outside the box for the first week during usage.
